Why Everyone Needs A Handheld Ebook Reader
A handheld eBook reader is a must-have for every book lover. Anyone who has ever moved to a new home knows how surprisingly heavy books are. This is a burden readers have lived with for years. Imagine how nice it would be if an entire library of books weighed about half a pound.
E-books will become the future of publishing. One of the features of the eBook is the lack of paper. This has obvious environmental benefits. In this age, many have begun to worry about renewable resources. The eBook has reduced the need for one of these resources, which is good news for trees.
There are currently three heavyweight options in the public market. All three companies have been revolutionizing the book industry while pleasing customers. The market is new, but the harsh competition has been good news to those who want quality products.
One of the greatest breakthroughs is that of e-ink displays. These amazing displays simulate the look of ink on paper. There is no back-light, like what is used for portable phones. This means that a reader will need a lamp or other source of light, just like with a real book.
The e-ink displays are easy to read and do not hurt your eyes. Even though the e-ink display seems very similar to real paper, it has several advantages. One example is the adjustable size of text. With an e-ink display, the text can be made larger or smaller, depending on preference.

The current market champion is Amazon’s Kindle reading device. The Kindle is available with two screen sizes. The Kindle uses a free wireless connection to connect to the Amazon store, and new books can be downloaded in seconds.
One of the stronger competitors to Amazon’s Kindle is the Sony Reader. The Reader is less expensive than the Kindle. However, the Sony eBook store is not as large as Amazon’s.
The newest device on the market is the Barnes and Noble Nook. The Nook is a powerful device, and many speculate that it will dethrone the Kindle. Barnes and Noble has a larger selection of books. Plus, the Nook has the first color touch screen on an eBook reader. This makes it a very stylish and practical choice for book lovers.
So book lovers can rejoice. Soon there will be no need to carry heavy boxes of books from home to home. A handheld eBook reader holds thousands of books, weighs less than one hardcover book, and uses less paper.

Space saver/life saver!, December 7, 2009
The Kindle is perfect for me. I’m active duty Navy stationed aboard a ship and space is at a premium, but I’m also an avid reader. So when I go underway with the ship for any length of time, I always have books with me, but they take up so much room in my rack. Enter the Kindle! I’m so grateful for the compact size and the amount of books it can hold. I don’t think that I will even be able to get through all of the books I have on my Kindle during my upcoming 7 month deployment. Thank you for making my time away from home a little more bearable!!

I’ve had my Kindle for a little over a month and I love it.
It makes reading so easy, especially if one reads more then one book at a time.
I have used the Kindle to help with studies, making notes where needed and exporting clipping when needed.
Carrying one object is better then carrying around three or more, especially when traveling or just getting away for the day.
The latest upgrade for PDF is great,I have many PDF books on my computer, now I’ll be able to take them with me.
I really haven’t used the internet feature that much, since the Kindle really wasn’t made for surfing the web.
But overall,I would tell anyone who reads and reads a lot,to get a Kindle and enjoy flipping the pages.

My best buddy, December 7, 2009
I got my kindle 2 for an early Christmas present. I read it every day and into the night. How I ever went without one for this long is beyond me. I am not a winter person so I do a lot of reading. I love not having to run to the store to buy a new book. It saves time and money. I absolutely love it.

I’ve had my kindle for just about three weeks and I LOVE it. I’ve already finished one novel and I’m ready for the next one. The ease of use is amazing. No more holding a heavy book open and flipping pages! The print is so easy on the eyes and reading outside in the sun was no problem. I ‘m leaving for vacation and the kindle is going with me. Just drop it in my purse, and I’m all set. It’s the best purchase I’ve ever made for myself. I couldn’t do without it now.
